Cornell University graduates have an amazing opportunity to carry out research and level up their careers. The EAP is offering four worthy fellowships which can be used at Cornell or in absentia away from campus. The four fellowships namely Lee Teng-hui fellowships in World Affairs with East Asia Focus, C.V. Starr Fellowships in East Asian studies, Hu Shih Fellowships in Chinese studies, Robert J.Smith Fellowship in Japanese and Korean studies for Cornell graduate students whose work has an East Asia focus.
The main goal of the programs is to provide support to the students who are willing to advance their careers by carrying out some researches. The fellowships aim to provide the students with some funds which will reduce their expenses burden. The process for the programs has been kept simple so that multiple students can benefit from it.
The East Asia Program or EAP is a hub of specialities and a forum for the interdisciplinary study of contemporary and historical East Asia. Cornell’s focal point is research teaching and engagement with EAP. The program has the membership of 39 core faculty, 15 languages instructors and numerous affiliated faculty, graduate and undergraduate students from eight of Cornell’s 12 schools and colleges.

How to Apply
A single application is required for all the four fellowships. Fellows should explain the proposals and details about their research. Candidates should get the budget form to apply for the program by sending a request. Please submit all the details about your research, budget and location (in Cornell or filed work away from Cornell).

Benefits
Selected fellows will receive the tuition, stipend and health insurance for one semester. Students who will be selected for EAP fellowship should arrange for funding for the rest of a few academic years with their departments. The fellowships provide considerable financial support to the students and make their research easy.
