Delaware African American Heritage Council Scholarship

Delaware African American Heritage Council is glad to declare the scholarship for the students who are African Americans who are graduating seniors are pursuing in college or trade school. They are whole heartily working on the process of helping students who need financial assistance and are good in academics with a GPA of 2.5. The scoring is based on the academic performance and involvement of the students in another related curriculum

Their mission is to provide better living to the students irrespective of their background. The organization believes in equality and freedom of getting knowledge. They are trying to provide better life opportunities to all the students who belong to African American background.

The Delaware African American Heritage Council (DAAHC) was established in 2018 to expand, include and elevate the historical and present-day contributions of African Americans by providing them a good education. The DAAHC Scholarship was established to aware African American graduating seniors in the Delaware City Schools pursuing higher education through the collegiate or trade school paths. Through this strategic effort, the organization seeks to affirm, advance, and value the hopes, dreams, and needs of African American students and families.

Who May Be Eligible 

Please check the needs to make you eligible for this scholarship:

  • Students must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
  • Applicants must be full-time students.
  • A student must be a senior attending Delaware Hayes H.S. and/or Delaware Area Career Center.
  • Candidates should have achieved a minimum GPA of 2.5 (C+) on a 4.0 system.
  • Students must be accepted to an accredited college, university, or technical school in the United States.

How to Apply 

All applicants must fill the complete online application with the mandatory documents. And submit it through the only process only before the due date.

Kindly make a note that incomplete or late applications will not be accepted. Do not submit any late or incomplete applications, as those will be rejected.

Supporting Documents 

Applicants are requested to submit the mentioned documents along with the application:

  1. Applicant must submit a typed resume.
  2. Fellows must submit a 7th-semester transcript.
  3. Students must write and submit an essay or create a video or Analysis.
  4. Applicant must submit a letter of recommendation from a school or community member.

Benefits 

The rewarded scholarship should only be used to pay the educational expenses of the students. The scholarship should only be utilized to pay the tuition fees, fees, book expenses, and other related expenses. The application procedure for this scholarship is too easy. $500 will be awarded to the selected candidates.
