Does science fascinate you? Are you a science freak who possess the potential to make an impact on this field? If your answer is yes, then you should not skip these exciting scholarships offered by the Da Vinci Science Center. This organization is in search of talented students with a genuine interest in science for its outstanding funding offers. There are two scholarships currently available for students: Hall of Fame Student Scholarship and Erel STEM Scholarship Award. These programs share the same purpose of promoting science education, and helping students in pursuit of their educational journey.
Hall of Fame Student Scholarship is open for high school science students in the eastern Pennsylvania and western New Jersey regions while Erel STEM Scholarship invites female high school seniors who have demonstrated strong academic ability and a commitment to learning, achievement and serving others in the community. Erel STEM Scholarship will be offered based on the financial need of students and will offer mentorship opportunities to female students along with monetary support. With these awards, the Da Vinci Science Center wants to create new leaders in the field of science. This foundation understands that the rising cost of education is the main barrier on the road of students’ success and which is why it has created this scheme.
Da Vinci Science Center was established with the mission of bringing science to life and lives to science. It was started in 1992 when Lehigh University in Bethlehem built the Science Model Area Resource Team to provide interactive science experiences for local students. The SMART team left Lehigh University to become an independent not for profit organization in 1999. It is known for making science fun and accessible for learners of all ages. It was named Da Vinci Science Center after getting merge with the Discovery Center of Science and Technology and Leonardo da Vinci’s Horse, Inc in 2003.
