The Coshocton Foundation aims to provide a great future for students and provide excellent students who will play an active role in developing the country. Their mission is to create a role model in front of all students and pursue education despite the struggle.

The Coshocton Foundation was established in 1967. The foundation was basically a single fund from which all grants were made. In late 1989, Edward and Frances Montgomery played a vital role by establishing a challenge fund that would match gifts to the foundation’s unrestricted fund. The Montgomery challenge encourages many gifts from a broader base of donors. The quantity of that donor base continues to grow as people become familiar with the foundation’s activities and the fact that gifts of any size are welcome and will be utilized to develop the Coshocton County community, which was later developed scholarship program.
