Community DTO Scholarship for Post-Secondary Students

Community DTO is looking forward to providing optimum education to students for their better future. They are taking a great initiative by proposing scholarships to students providing them with a quality life. Community DTO is taking an excellent move to complete the student’s wish who is planning for completing their college.

The vital aim of this scholarship is to support deserving students through these funds. Their vision is to ensure that they receive the support required to achieve their full potential and ability. Their point is to inspire and motivate the students and improve students’ academic achievement.

DTO today represents over 140 manufacturing, logging, trucking, and supportive businesses, and private landowners and individuals throughout southwestern Oregon. Their mission’s central feature is to help our members and the public better understand the forest products and forest-related problems. Wood Products are an essential component of the manufacturing and building industry and are an important part of the local, national, and global economies. There continues to be a growing job demand for forestry professionals. They are providing scholarships of about $2,500 to three deserving students every year to meet this need.

Who May Be Eligible

Please go through the checklist below for being eligible for the respected scholarship:

  • Applicant must be resident of Coos, Douglas, or lane Counties
  • The fellow must be a dependent child under the age of 22 years.
  • The application should have the intention to major in the natural resource-related field.
  • The applicant is flexible to attain any private or public accredited post-secondary institution in Oregon.

How to Apply 

Applicants must fill the complete application and submit all the required documents listed below attached to the application. All candidates must mail the application at Douglas Timber Operators, Attn: Scholarship Committee, 3000 Stewart Park, Suit 104, Roseburg OR 97471.

Supporting Documents 

Kindly go through the required documents given below:

  • Applicants must submit a filled application.
  • The students must submit a sealed official transcript of all high school coursework through the semester 1st of senior year with current GPA and/ all transcript of all college courses taken.
  • The fellow must submit three letters of recommendation.

Benefits

These scholarships will decrease the load of the expenses of the students. The amount should not be consumed for other expenses other than paying the freight of the students’ expenses like tuition, fees, books, and other students’ requirements. These scholarships encourage students to achieve their goals overcoming all obstacles.
