All the students who are pursuing or planning to pursue a degree with a focus on cybersecurity or information assurance have good news. Center for Cyber Safety and Education is all set to support students’ education with its graduate scholarships. Graduate students often need funding to conduct special research projects or assistance with tuition and fees, and these scholarships help grad students to achieve their goals. Candidates who are pursuing a master degree program or doctoral studies are eligible for these programs.
These scholarships aim to support deserving students to carry out additional research in cybersecurity or information assurance. Who May Be Eligible?
Here is the list of eligibility requirements set by the Foundation; please ensure your eligibility before applying:
- Candidate must be pursuing or plan to pursue a degree focused on Cybersecurity or information assurance.
- The fellow must be pursuing a Master’s Degree program or doctoral studies.
- Applicants’ GPA must be at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent to a comparable scale).
Note: If you have just been accepted to graduate school, or are just beginning classes, you will use the final cumulative GPA from your undergraduate degree transcript to meet these criteria
- Applicants can be attending on campus or online for full time or part-time.
- Students can be attending in the US or Internationally.
How to Apply
If you seem to be eligible with all the firm criteria, you can apply for the program through an online application form. If you are new to the official application portal, then you can create a new account and then access the form using your credentials. After this, you can access the form. Fill the form with all the required details and materials. Please keep your materials ready while applying for the scholarship. Late or incomplete data will not be considered for the scholarship.
- Unofficial transcripts from your current (or most recent) educational institution. If awarded, no funds will be disbursed until official transcripts have been received.
- One Letter of Recommendation outlining the following:
How long have you known the applicant, and in what capacity?
What skills or abilities does the applicant have that will support him/her in completing a degree?
What should other information about the applicant be taken into consideration?
- Essay questions to be filled out in application:
Tell why you should be chosen to receive this (ISC)² Cybersecurity Scholarship, and what makes you stand out from your peers?
Describe why you need the scholarship.
Describe your personal and educational backgrounds.
Describe why you chose your major and your goals for your academic career. What makes you a candidate for success in information security, and what are your professional career goals?
Describe any contributions to the cybersecurity field, i.e., volunteer work, articles, etc., and any other hobbies or extracurricular activities and what they mean to you.
Up to 20 scholarships will be awarded. Each scholarship award will be between $1000 to $5000. These scholarships encourage students to do better in their academic careers. These will enhance the growth of the students and the field. These funds will be directly transferred to the candidates’ educational institute and will be utilized to pay their educational expenses.
