Castle Branch-GNSA Scholarships for Nursing Students

To acknowledge and reward the efforts and hard work of nursing students, the American Association of Colleges of Nursing has initiated a very exciting funding scheme called Castle Branch-GNSA Scholarships. This year, the organization will grant scholarships to two deserving graduating nursing students who have been committed to advancing the nursing profession through a commitment to innovation, leadership, and/or mentoring. Winners will receive $2,500 in scholarship in each semester of their programs. A total of four scholarships will be awarded to selected candidates per academic year. To qualify for this opportunity, aspirants should be enrolled in a graduate nursing program at an AACN member school of nursing and a GNSA member. Students with at least a 3.5 GPA will be given preference.

To tackle the issues like COVID, today our country’s health care system needs more talented and dedicated nurses who can make contributions in this field and serve people in need. Nursing is more than just a profession. For some people, it is a way to give back to the people and help them overcome their health issues. Like doctors, nurses also play an important role in the overall health and well-being of the patients they serve. Being a nurse requires not only advanced degrees in hands but also patients, kindness, and a desire to serve others. Besides this, it is considered one of the most satisfied and leading professions in which one earns well as well as works towards the real purposes of being a human being: serving others. Keeping the importance and contributions of nurses in mind, the American Association of Colleges of Nursing has made possible this offer that can be availed by nursing students who need financial support.

American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) is considered the national voice of academic nursing. The duties of this organization include establishing quality standards for nursing education; assisting schools in implementing those standards; influencing the nursing profession to improve health care; and promoting public support for professional nursing education, research, and practice. AACN has grown from an original 121 member institution to an organization that represents nearly 840 member schools of nursing.
