BNSF Railway Foundation Scholarships for College Students

UNCF is pleased to announce that they are launching a BNSF Railway Foundation Scholarship Program for high-achieving students from Tarrant County, Texas. The following scholarship is open to full-time students, enrolled degree-seeking candidates at a UNCF-member institution OR at any other fully accredited HBCU or US located college or university during the 2021-2022 academic year. The candidate must reside or be a permanent resident of Tarrant County, Texas. The candidate must also have a demonstrated unmet, financial need as verified by the college or university he or she enrolled in. To participate in the following contest the candidate is required to write a personal statement stating his career interests and submit all the required documents along with the complete application form.

The purpose of offering the following scholarship is to help students who are in desperate need of financial aid to fund their education. The students who are capable enough to study but can’t afford it are encouraged to apply and win their way to receive the one-time scholarship amount of $2,200. One letter of recommendation is required for a complete application.  The recommender must not be related to you. The recommendation form must be submitted before or by the deadline. The deadline for the application submission is September 30, 2021.

For more than seven decades, UNCF has raised more than $5 billion and helped more than 500,000 students with acquiring education. They do this in three ways: By awarding more than 10,000 students scholarships, worth more than $100 million, each year. By providing financial support to 37 historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs). And by serving as the nation’s leading advocate for the importance of minority education and community engagement. Since its founding in 1944, they’ve helped to more than double the number of minorities attending college.
