Howard University

Howard University is a federally chartered, private, coeducational, nonsectarian, historically black university (HBCU) in Washington, D.C.  Howard offers more than 120 areas leading to undergraduate, graduate, and professional degrees. Howard is the most comprehensive HBCU in the nation and produces the most black doctorate recipients of any university. Howard offers three selective honors programs for its most high-achieving undergraduate students: the College of Arts & Sciences Honors Program, the Executive Leadership Honors Program in the School of Business, and the Annenberg Honors Program in the School of Communications.

Spelman College

Spelman College holds the distinction of being America’s first, and thereby oldest, private, liberal arts historically black college for women. Spelman offers a Bachelor of Science degree in the following majors: Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Computer and Information Sciences, Dual Degree Engineering, Environmental Science, Mathematics, and Physics. Spelman also offers a dual-degree nursing program with Emory University.

Florida A&M University

Florida A&M University is the 5th largest historically black university in the United States by enrollment and the only public historically black university in Florida. The university offers 56 bachelor’s degrees, 29 master’s degrees within 11 of the university’s 13 schools and colleges. Two professional degrees and 12 doctoral degree programs are offered. North Carolina A&T State University

Morehouse College

Morehouse as a black college has had a 150-year legacy of producing educated men and global leaders. Morehouse College offers programs of study leading to a Bachelor of Arts or bachelor of science degree. Bowie State University

Bowie State is Maryland’s oldest historically black university and one of the ten oldest in the country. BSU has 22 undergraduate majors, 19 master’s programs, two doctoral programs, and 14 certificate programs in disciplines as diverse as computer science, education, human resource development, organizational communication, and nursing. It was also the first university in the nation to offer a bachelor’s degree in pedology. North Carolina Central University

North Carolina Central University is a public historically black university in the University of North Carolina system. It is offering programs at the baccalaureate, master’s, professional and doctoral levels.
