Make sure you do not submit photographs of caged birds. Each image must be provided in JPG format and must be no more than 4 MB in size. Also, ensure that your photo is in the sRGB color space; otherwise, your image may appear discolored. The winning photographs will be part of a special multi-page spread in a future issue of BirdWatching magazine. The winners will be notified of the exact month and year of the publication.

Who is Eligible?

Individuals over the age of 18 and residents of the United States and Canada, except Quebec, are eligible to enter the contest. Employees of Madavor Media, LLC (“Sponsors”), and their respective parents, affiliated groups, subsidiaries, and advertising and promotion agencies, as well as their immediate relatives and those living under the same roof of each, whether or not related, are not qualified to enroll or win.

How to Apply?

On the birdwatching website, click submit your pictures. To enter, you must be logged in to your BirdWatching account. If you don’t already have an account, click here to create one for free. Each photo must be provided in.JPG format and cannot be more than 4 MB in size. And during Contest Period, entry costs are $25 for one submission and $35 for two submissions. During the Extension Period, entry costs may increase.

Benefits

In addition to numerous prizes, the first-place winner will get $1000, the second-place winner will receive $500, and the third-place winner will receive $250. The winning pictures will be included in a special multi-page spread in a future edition of BirdWatching magazine.
