Being diagnosed with cancer can be the most shocking moment for anyone. Cancer is a life-threatening disease that has become the second leading cause of death in the country. Every year, thousands of people die due to cancer. As a cancer patient, you have to go through many challenges whether it is financial, physical, or emotional. It might make your condition even worst if you are a student. For a student, it might be quite intimidating to maintain a balance between education and treatment. Needless to say, cancer treatment is quite expensive in our country and one might find it difficult to pay for one’s treatment along with education. Keeping this fact in mind, National Children’s Cancer Society has designed a funding scheme for cancer survivors. To apply for this program, you must be a citizen of the United States living within the country and attending school in the US.
National Children’s Cancer Society is aware of the challenges that students have to experience as a cancer patient. Dealing with cancer can be the hardest time for anyone and the most difficult part of such time is that one’s finances are drained which can invite many problems such as drop out if one is studying, being unable to afford treatment, and so on. For a student who is a cancer patient, it is very important to have financial and emotional back. To do its part in improving the situation of cancer survivors, National Children’s Cancer Society has brought this scheme that any students who are dealing with similar problems can take advantage of and boost their finances. This scholarship will support the college-level education of those students who have demonstrated the ability to overcome the difficult challenges of cancer with determination and motivation.
National Children’s Cancer Society is an American charity based organization doing great work in support of cancer survivors. It provides financial, emotional educational support to children with cancer, their families, and survivors. This organization has brought a positive difference in the lives of many cancer patients and given them new hopes. It was founded in 1987 to help pay for the then relatively new bone marrow transplantation procedure for children.
