Best Black Belt Fish Photo Contest

Alabama Black Belt Adventures Association brings to you the “Black Belt Fish Photo Contest” for the year 2021. It’s an opportunity for you to come forward and showcase your talent and passion for photography. It’s time for you to set the hook and snap a pic to enter the Alabama Black Belt Adventure Association’s 2021 Big Fish Photo Contest. This year, the participants in the contest are highly encouraged to take a first-timer or beginner angler along for their adventure. Participants are encouraged to help mentor these new anglers and share their experiences of including these young people or adults during their outing. Experienced anglers or those who wish to enter the contest without a new or beginner angler in tow are also welcome to submit photos to the contest.

The contest, which has already begun, will stop accepting applications on September 30th, 2021. The following contest is eligible for any type of fish caught in the Black Belt during 2021 only. The prize package for the winner from the new or beginner angler category includes 1-day of fishing for two people on one of the five trophy-managed lakes at Triple D Ranch near Emelle, AL in Sumter County. One night’s lodging is also included. Please note that Triple D is a bring your own boat destination, and the winner and their guest must fish in the same boat. A $250 gift card will be awarded to the photo that receives the most votes in the experienced angler category.

Alabama Black Belt Adventures is a public-private partnership committed to promoting and enhancing outdoor recreation and tourism opportunities in the state’s 23-county Black Belt region. Their mission is to promote and enhance sustainable economic development in Alabama’s Black Belt by capitalizing on a good spring of outdoor recreational resources and cultural tourism.

Who is Eligible?

There are no restrictions given regards to eligibility for the particular contest, anyone from being an amateur to a professional is welcome to apply.

How to Apply?

The interested individuals are required to fill out the application form given on the scholarship portal and submit it there only. Additionally, the candidate is required to upload a photo of a fish caught in Alabama’s Black Belt Region. Submission must include the angler’s name and county where fish was caught. Please fill out the entry form completely, making sure to identify the person – or persons – in the photo. Share a little caption about the angler, how this fish was caught, or any interesting story to go with it if you wish.

Benefits

The applications submitted by you will be reviewed and judged by the selection committee and out of all, the most deserving candidate will be selected as the winner of the following contest.
