Earn your degree with the help of Barbara Lotze Scholarship which is open for the students enrolled in an accredited 2 or 4-year college or university. The AAPT organized this program for future Physics Teachers.
The award’s perspective is to enhance the importance of physics teaching and also help students engaged in the same. The designed grant amount is good enough to cover educational related expenses.
American Association of Physics Teacher worked as a professional membership association and was established in 1930. It consists of scientists dedicated to improving the understanding and appreciation of physics through teaching.
Who May Eligible?
Interested candidates are asked to look over the eligibility criteria:
- Must intent to prepare for, and engage in, a career in physics teaching at the high school level
- Must be undergraduate students enrolled in an accredited two-year college, four-year college or a university or high school seniors accepted for such enrollment.
- Must be pursuing, or planning to pursue, a course of study leading toward a career in physics teaching in the high schools.
- Must be a citizen of the United States of America.

To get considered for the scholarship, students are required to sign in or create an account. Then submit their applications with the asked documents to get considered.
Benefits
The recipient will get a stipend of up to $2,000 and a complimentary AAPT Student Membership for one year. The individual may be granted the scholarship for each of four years.
