The Arizona Transit Association has partnered with WTS to offer this wonderful AzTA Transit Planning Graduate Scholarship. This scholarship is available for women pursuing graduate studies in urban planning, engineering, public health, public administration, or transportation planning with an emphasis on public transportation/multi-modal components. Candidates must have declared major in the aforementioned studies. The scholarship is granted on the local level only.
This is competitive as well as a beneficial funding program for which students will be selected based on the applicant’s specific transportation goals, academic record, and transportation-related activities or job skills. This program will help students cover their educational expenses and take their career on the next level. By providing this fund, the organization wants to support students’ educational dreams and academic pursuits.
The Arizona Transit Association is a non-profit statewide organization committed to improving public transportation in all Arizona communities. AzTA carries a mission of providing leadership in the funding, advocacy and education for public transportation services throughout Arizona.

Who May Be Eligible
Please meet the following requirements before applying:
- Applicants must be women;
- Candidates should have a GPA of 3.0 or higher;
- Aspirants should be currently enrolled in a full-time graduate degree program in one of the aforementioned fields.
- Participants must be planning to pursue a career in the transit industry.

Benefits
This scholarship is valued at 2,500. This also includes free participation in all association events, including interface opportunities with the AzTA Board of Directors for the academic year.
