ARA Scholarship Program for High School Seniors

That is why, Automotive Recyclers Association has initiated a wonderful scholarship program that will encourage and support those students who have passion for the automotive industry. The mission of these programs is to create new future leaders in the car industry by funding the education of today’s students. These scholarships will benefit to those students enrolled as a high school senior, and/or plan to continue or pursue a full-time post-high school program in a college, university, or accredited school.

Automotive Recyclers Association will award this year scholarship with handsome award amount to worthy students who meet the eligibility criteria successfully. Since the need for new leaders in the automotive industry has been seen, it has become more vital to provide needed support to those who are planning to pursue a career in this industry. The rising cost of education can prevent students from acquiring proper education in this field, and cause them to drop out. ARA Scholarship Program can prove a golden chance for such students who are talented but financial unprivileged. These scholarships might be applied to eligible students’ educational expenses so they can easily pursue a course at their desired college without facing any financial difficulty.

Who May Be Eligible

Here are the requirements for this program that must be met in order to be eligible:

  • Applicants must be enrolled as a high school senior, and/or plan to continue or pursue a full-time post-high school program in a college, university, or accredited school providing trade, business or technical programs;
  • Candidates should be college/University applicants must have achieved at least a 3.0-grade point average, or the equivalent, in their previous educational program. Accredited Trade, Business or Technical School Program applicants must have achieved at least a 2.0-grade point average, or equivalent, in their previous educational program.

Requirements for renewal applicants:

Below are the requirements for renewal, please check these out:

  • Renewal applicants for College/University must have achieved at least a 2.75-grade point average, or the equivalent, in their previous educational program.
  • Renewal Candidates for Accredited Trade, Business or Technical School must have achieved at least a 1.75-grade point average, or equivalent, in their previous educational program.
  • A parent must be a current employee of a Licensed Direct/Branch Recycler Member of ARA with a hire date at least one year prior to March 15 of the application year.

Supporting Documents

  • A letter of verification from the ARA member company that the applicant or the parent of the applicant is currently employed and in good standing with his or her employer.
  • Parent completed “Certification Form” if you are not an employee.

Winners will get educational fund to cover their study-related expenses. This fund will help them pursue higher education without any dependency on loan and take their all financial concerns related to education away.
