The Mercer County Library System is organizing a Amateur Photo Contest where everyone except the candidates with a valid MCL Card and professional photographers, are allowed to participate. The theme of the contest is Happiness is.. You have to click a photograph featuring your idea of happiness and submit it in a .jpeg format. Along with the photo, you have to complete the submission title: Happiness is.. in no more than 6 words. The photograph should not be more than 1 MB in size and will be judged on the basis of creativity, quality and its ability to relate to the theme. You have to submit your entries before August 15, 2021.
This is the opportunity for the amateurs to present their budding skills and talent to the world. Participating in the contest will help you explore qualities within yourself and gain a whole new perspective to happiness. As said, happiness lies within yourself. This contest will help you know yourself better. Also, Barnes and Noble Gift Cards will be given to three best photographs and three honorary mentions. This is an amazing chance to give a kickstart to your photography career.

Who is Eligible?
There are no eligibility criteria prescribed. Each and every one is invited to participate in the 2021 Photo contest. Exceptions being, patrons with a valid MCL Card and professional photographers are excluded.
How to Apply?
To participate, follow the mentioned guidelines:
- The theme of the contest is: Happiness is…
- Click a photograph which describes your understanding of happiness.
- Submit your photograph in a jpeg format.
- Photograph should be in digital format and no more than 1 MB.
- Only one entry is allowed per person.
- Send your photograph at contets@mcl.org with the subject “Amateur Photo Contest”. Please include the following details in the email:
- Name,
- Address,
- Contact Number,
- Email, and
- Submission title: In 6 words at maximum, complete the caption: “Happiness is…”
