The AFP’s mission is developing an Association of Fundraising Professionals that empowers individuals and organizations to practice fundraising through professional education, networking, research and advocacy. As champions of ethical fundraising, fundraising professionals work to increase public trust in charitable giving. FEP pursues this goal by offering nonprofits tools for tracking and evaluating their annual growth in giving.
The Fundraising Effectiveness Project’s lead sponsors are the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy, and the Center on Nonprofits and Philanthropy at the Urban Institute. The Fundraising Effectiveness Project (FEP) goal is to help nonprofit organizations increase giving at a faster pace.
AFP vision is to stimulate a world of kindness and positive social good through fundraising best practice. Some of the guiding principles the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) follows is Ethics, Trust, Professional Preparation, Advancing Philanthropy, Inclusivity, Partnership, Collaboration, Creativity and Innovation. AFP imagines and researches new ways to connect with donors and achieve great results.

Who May Be Eligible
Eligibility mandatory requirements are mentioned below:
- Applicant must be employed by a nonprofit organization operating in Indian River
- Candidates should be primarily responsible for fundraising within the nonprofit organization.
- Individuals must demonstrate financial Available to individuals whose operating budget is less than $2 million OR can provide written documentation that membership cannot be obtained due to budget constraints.
- Applicants must have never been AFP
- Fellows must agree to serve on a committee or volunteer at a chapter event, participate as a mentee in the AFPIR mentoring program and invite your immediate supervisor to at least one AFP Chapter

Benefits
AFP is offering the new member or membership renewal scholarships program to the Young Professional (under 30 – 2/year), Small Non-Profit (2/year) or Professional Membership (1/year). Selected winners will have all the advantage of the AFP membership. All other benefits will be announced with the announcing of the winners.
