This scholarship will be awarded to students between the age of 16 years to 25 years who will join the DoSomething Organisation to carry out the Community service by activating young people, drivers, soon-to-be drivers, passengers, and pedestrians to do their part to end distracted driving and ensure a zero crash future. The selected candidates will be entitled to a scholarship award worth $1,500. 

DoSomething is a global non-profit organization with the goal of motivating young people to make positive change both online and offline through campaigns that make an impact. The organization’s CEO is DeNora Getachew. The organization was co-founded in 1993 by American actor Andrew Shue and his childhood friend Michael Sanchez with the motivation to encourage young people to become active citizens and leaders while also making community involvement fun.

Who is Eligible?

  • The applicants must be under the age of 26.
  • The applicants must be between the ages of 13 and 25 years old.
  • The applicants must live in the U.S. (or are U.S. citizens, but living abroad).

How to Apply?

  • The interested applicants are first required to sign up for a campaign.
  • Then, the applicants must complete the campaign, which takes 5 minutes or less.
  • Finally, the applicants must upload a photo to show a completed campaign.

Benefits

The teenage students aging from 16 to 25 years of age, selected to be awarded this scholarship, will be given a sum of $1,500 to utilize towards their education expenses, upon successful completion of their community service.

Application Deadline

The application deadline to apply for this scholarship has been set to 10th June 2022. Applications made after the designated deadline shall not be accepted in any case. Two winning candidates will be selected and informed of the same by 25th June 2022.
