To protect the students’ future in their community, the Georgia Student Finance Commission has pleasantly brought the Zell Miller Scholarship for the Graduate high school students who show excellent academic performance. They promote to protect the talent of the students, which is the greatest treasure for the nation. They have kept the selection criteria totally on the student’s intelligence where the evaluation will be done based on the GPA score, SAT or ACT score.

Who May Be Eligible

The candidate should meet the following criteria:

Basic eligibility:

  • The applicant must be a resident of the US.
  • The student should have good academic standing with a GPA score of more than 3.7.
  • The applicant must not have exceeded the maximum award limits for any HOPE program.
  • The fellow should be a graduate high school student from an accredited high school.

Program eligibility:

  • The applicant must be a legal resident of Georgia.
  • If the fellow is a Graduate from an ineligible high school or completes an unaccredited home study program and scores at the national composite 93rd percentile or higher on the SAT or ACT before completion of high school or home study are eligible to apply.
  • The fellow should be involved as a degree-seeking student at a Zell Miller eligible college or university in Georgia.

How to Apply 

The fellow should submit the complete application with the required documents before the deadline. The fellow can apply through the application provided at the Free Application for Federal student aid or through the online process at Georgia Student Financial Application or by taking the print. The application should be submitted through an online process before the deadline as the late application will not be eligible for the scholarship.

Supporting Documents 

All the applicant are requested to submit the below-mentioned documents along with the application:

  • The fellow should submit proof of residence.
  • The student should provide proof of the GPA score achieved.
  • The student should provide proof of SAT or ACT.
  • The fellow provides proof of acceptance by an accredited college or university for a degree program.

Application Deadline 

The applicant should apply before the last day of the school term/ students withdrawal date. The fellow should apply as soon as possible; the funds will be provided as soon as the applicant applies for the funds.
