From raindrops, seas, rivers to deep roots of trees and beautiful fountains, water exists everywhere, sustaining life, creating weather, shaping landscapes, and making up 60% of the human body. Water is essential for life on earth, and the future cannot be imagined without it. Keeping this thing in mind and to encourage students to learn about how water affects their lives and where they live, Black Hills Parks & Forests Association has designed a fantastic contest named “Water is Everywhere” Youth Art Contest. This is an exciting opportunity that will give you not only fun and engaging activity to help you navigate your grade level science standard but also a chance to demonstrate your talent and skills.
This competition combines art and science-based curriculum for elementary-aged students. If your student or child is studying from kindergarten to 5th grade and shows interest in artistic activities, then this program could be the right fit for their talent. At the end of the contest, one overall winner and two honorable winners will be announced and receive gifts from Black Hills Parks & Forests Association. Overall winner’s artwork will be used in a postcard that will be given away with the traveling display and at the other event. Applications will close on March 22, 2022. Candidates can participate by completing an online form and sending it through the mail.
Wind Cave National Park, Jewel Cave National Monument, Scotts Bluff National Monument, Agate Fossil Beds National Monument, Black Hills National Forest, Nebraska National Forests & Grasslands, and the National Grasslands Visitor Center are all official non-profit partners of the Black Hills Parks & Forests Association (BHPFA). They offer critical funds to their public-sector partners to assist them in achieving their educational objectives.
