WIAWWA is establishing amazing scholarships which are divided into four categories for various students and member. The program is including university and technical students and also son/daughter and members of WIAWWA as well as one operator of AMMA.
The award is being organized to assist outstanding students and members in their careers. The grant amount is valuable enough to cover any expenses related to higher education or courses such as tuition, fees or books.
Wisconsin Section of the American Water Works Association’s mission is to ensure a safe, reliable, and environmentally responsible drinking water. Its membership includes water utility employees, consultants, equipment providers, university staff and students, and regulators.

Who May Eligible?
The candidates are asked to review specific eligibility requirements of every category before applying for the scholarship:
Some Common Eligibility Requirements among all the categories:
- Must be enrolled full time in a university or college fall 2020 semester
- Must be pursuing a degree relevant to the drinking water supply field
- Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Must have not received WIAWWA (or WWA) scholarship previously in this category
- Must be a U.S. citizen and Wisconsin resident
- Additional consideration will be provided to student members of WIAWWA/AWWA
How to Apply
The eligible candidates can fill out their details with the submission of required documents electronically. The Scholarship Application form is provided on the same main of the scholarship.
Supporting Documents
- Must mention the proposed curriculum of study that should include a list of courses that have been or will be taken during the course of the pursued curriculum
- Two letters of recommendation or reference, with at least one being an educational or professional reference.
- One page essay on educational plans and career objectives (all categories)
- One page resume that includes all schools, colleges and universities attended; dates, majors/fields of study, grade point average, degrees received, work experience, civic work, and extracurricular activities
- Unofficial transcripts will be required for Category 1, 2, 3 and A.
- Transcripts are not required for application for Category B

Category 1 (University Student) – $1,500
Category 2 (Technical School Student) – $1,000
Category 3 (Son/Daughter of WIAWWA Member) – $1,000
Category A (Current WIAWWA/AWWA Member) – $2,000
Category B (One AWWA Operator) – $2,500
