Do you want to start your own small business? or perhaps you already have and need help with its growth? Then you’re in luck! YES, Opportunities Inc. has organized the Young Entrepreneurship Scholarship Program for the academic year 2022-2023.
This scholarship is especially being offered to young individuals aged 8 to 18 to help them pursue their dream this summer by saying YES! Students that win this scholarship will be from New York and will be judged based on a review of their business plan and presentation of their business plan. A scholarship worth $2,000 and other benefits will be provided to the selected students.
YES (Youth Educational Scholarship) Opportunity Inc. is a 501C3 entity established in October 2000 as a scholarship organization to provide educational assistance to college-bound and “at-risk” youth. It supports students primarily from the Eastern and Southern Mid-Atlantic US regions for studying the fields of Accounting, Business, Education, Health, Sociology, and Teacher Education. The organization seeks to expand its receiving of resources so that it may expand its giving of them to students who qualify for each endowment’s criteria as seen in program areas.

Who is Eligible?
- The applicants must be of 8 to 18 years of age.
- The applicants must be residing in New York State within its service area.
- The applicants must be completed only through the online portal.
- The applicants must be from one of these counties – Wayne, Monroe, Ontario, Seneca, Yates, Livingston, Steuben, Thompkins, Schuyler, Chemung, Oswego, Onondaga, Cortland, Tioga, Broome, Jefferson, Lewis, St. Lawrence, Oneida, Herkimer, Genesee, Orleans, Wyoming, Alleghany, Cattaraugus, Erie & Niagara.
How to Apply?
- The applicants must prepare a business plan based on an existing business, new business, or idea.
- The applicants must then answer the scholarship application questions.
- All students that will be eligible will be considered automatically.
Benefits
The applicants chosen as winners of the Young Entrepreneurship Scholarship Program will be awarded a sum of $2,000. They will also have the opportunity to connect with experienced business mentors and valuable resources that will help them grow and succeed in life and business.
Application Deadline
The deadline to submit your entries for this program is June 12th, 2022. Applications made any later shall neither be accepted nor reviewed. Students are suggested to submit their scholarship applications.
