High school senior attending a Carroll or Stark County school district have an excellent opportunity to get some funds and pay for their needs. The United Way of Greater Stark County is happily offering their worthy YLS Textbook Scholarship to the deserving students. Fellows should be a first-generation college student pursuing a four-year college or university degree whose parent(s) or guardian(s) did not complete a four-year college or university degree with a GPA of 2.75 or better on a 4.00 scale to be eligible.
The United Way of Greater Stark County wants to provide the support of the educational expenses to the county’s deserving students to help them contribute towards the development of the county. The union is willing to reduce the stress of students and help them achieve their career goals. The union wants to grow the county by educating the students. The process is extremely simple to access for all the interested students.
The United Way of Greater Stark County is fighting for the stability, health, education and financial growth of every community. The union at present have more than 370,000+ people who make their homes in Stark and Carroll County. During April 2017 to March 2018, nearly 140,000 services were offered by United Way of Greater Stark County and partner programs. The union focuses on the development of the county with everything possible.

How to Apply
All the students interested and eligible can apply for the Scholarships through an online application. Candidates can also apply for the Scholarships by downloading the fillable application and completing it with all the essential information and supporting materials and submit them to laura.prengaman@uwstark.org before the deadline. If submitting the online application, please submit the online application with everything before the deadline.

Benefits
Students will be selected to award the Scholarships of $1000 each. This program is a renewable award for up to four years, created to offset the expense of books needed to further a student’s education after high school. These Scholarships encourages students to achieve their career goals by appreciating their academic standing. The process is exceptionally simple, and programs reduce the textbook expenses burden.
