The Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) Reno has organized a writerโs contest for students to write their thoughts in stories and illustrations. It is a local contest designed to encourage children from kindergarten to grade 3 to write their own imaginary and creative thoughts. This yearโs theme is โINVESTIGATE.โ Every year, thousands of students from Northern Nevada participate in this contest.
Children who will participate in this contest will get a chance to celebrate their stories and artwork at Reno-Tahoe International Airport during the summers. They will also get a hard copy of their story, which will also be displayed on television and the PBS Reno website. This will help students to get used-to learning and writing their thoughts creatively and be more imaginative.
The PBO Reno curiosity classroom was established on April 19, 2022. The purpose of this classroom is to enhance, improve, motivate, cheer, and bring joy into our community while sharing creative ideas, exploring the beauties of our world, and the happiness of learning.

How to Apply?
The interested participants and parents who want to make their children participate in this contest should inform their respective teachers. Teachers should download and print the entry form from the link provided below and fill in the details carefully. Also, parents of the children should download and print the consent form, which includes parentsโ permission to use their childโs details which will become the property of PBS Reno with their signature.

Benefits
ย The contestants who will participate in this contest and get selected as winners will get to attend a celebration of their written stories and artwork at Reno-Tahoe International Airport during the summers. Moreover, contestants will receive a hardbacked copy of their story, which will be displayed on television and the BPS Reno website. Also, the guest author will share the contestants writing and will sign an autograph too at the airport event. This will also help in building confidence and will help in motivating children to do their best and participate in such amazing contests.

The interested participants and their parents should submit their entries by consulting their teacher and fill the application form before March 04, 2022. It is requested to all not to wait for the deadline and submit their entries as early as possible.
