Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation is actively accepting applications for its amazing Teaching Fellowships. These programs have been developed with the motive of changing the ways top teachers are prepared, and support the students who want to become the teachers. These fellowships are reserved for current undergraduates, recent college graduates, mid-career professionals, and retirees who have majored in, or have extensively studied, one or more of the STEM fields.
In partnership with colleges and universities, this foundation will provide fellows with innovative, year-long classroom experiences, rigorous academic work, and ongoing mentoring that will help bring out the best in them and become ideal teachers of tomorrow. These fellowships need talented, committed, and passionate individuals who can teach in Pennsylvania secondary schools in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. With the help of these programs, students who are passionate about teaching can gain insight into what it is like to be a teacher and what it is like to teach even before starting their career as a teacher. Along with hand on experience of teaching, fellows will enjoy lots of exciting perks that will make their fellowship journey more exciting and beneficial.
Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation is not for profit organization formed in 1945. It has been providing fellowships to strengthen American education and to address urgent contemporary challenges. In its every effort, it strives to promote more gender and racial diversity in American higher education, improve the quality of K–12 education in the country, strengthen STEM teaching in high-need schools, and improve understanding of American history and civics.

Who May Be Eligible?
Please check out the following requirements:
- Recipients of the fellowship can be current undergraduates, recent college graduates, mid-career professionals, and retirees;
- Aspirants must have majored in and/or have 30 or more college-level credits in a STEM field;
- Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to the program and its goals;
- Applicants should have U.S. citizenship or permanent residency;
- Entrants must have attained, or expect to attain by Spring 2021, a bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. college or university or its international equivalent;
- A cumulative undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale is preferred.
How to Apply
Only online applications will be accepted. To be considered as a fellow, your Teaching Fellowship application serves as your application for the master program to the partner university. You do not need to apply separately. Once accepted, you may be required to complete university-specific paperwork. Participants will enjoy the following benefits:
- Admission to a master’s degree program at one of three well-established partner universities;
- Teacher certification in science or mathematics education;
- Extensive preparation for teaching in a high-need urban or rural secondary school for one full year before becoming the teacher-of-record in a science or math classroom;
- A $32,000 stipend during their first year while completing the master’s degree;
- Once fellows have completed their master’s degree, they obtain salaried employment in high-need schools;
- Support and mentoring throughout the three-year teaching commitment;
- Support of a cohort of WW Fellows passionate about science and math education;
- Lifelong membership in a national network of WW FELLOWS who are intellectual leaders.
