Beginning December 13, the Woodland Joint Unified School District will cooperate with a new COVID-19 testing supplier, Covid Clinic, to proceed with its free, nearby testing program for understudies and staff.
Covid Clinic is a nonprofit-driven testing supplier that gives nearby PCR COVID testing throughout the county, incorporating school regions in California.
Families who want to continue taking part in testing at WJUSD schools and district administrative offices after Dec. 10 should enroll with Covid Clinic.
WJUSD will keep offering free COVID-19 testing at each school site once a week and twice at secondary schools, and understudy athletes are requested to continue approaching testing at school to be cleared for participation.
“We are so eager to have the option to keep on offering this significant assistance for our staff, understudies, and community,” said Associate Superintendent Leanne Medina-Estrada. “We urge everybody to get enrolled with Covid Clinic straight away so they can keep testing starting on Dec. 13.”
The tests will likewise be a nasal swab rather than a salivation test. For this test, a swab is embedded less than one inch into the nostril. This will make participation simpler and more accessible for younger understudies who might have experienced issues giving salivation tests.
Testing times beginning December 13 will be from early afternoon to 6 p.m.
