Well educated women are the need of our society. Women have been as much contributing to the development of the country as their counterparts. Though there are still some areas that are the best example of the underrepresentation of women. These areas are business, workplace, and study fields such as STEM that is considered to be male dominant. Women’s Forum of New York supports the education of women and that is why it has brought an amazing scholarship for 2022. This fund will benefit high-potential women, age 35 and over, whose education and lives have been disrupted by extreme adversity.
Women have been facing many challenges from financial, domestic violence to gender inequality and abuse. Thereby, the need for women’s empowerment is presented in front of us. To improve the condition of women, we need more female leaders in our society that can be possible only by improving the access to higher education for women. To do its part in empowering women, the Women’s Forum of New York offers scholarships every year to them. This scholarship helps them complete their education and get their lives back on track. Education is the only way to improve their lives. For this scheme, interested candidates need to demonstrate noteworthy promise, resilience in the face of challenges, and a commitment to making a difference in others’ lives.
Formed in 1974, the Women’s Forum of New York is an invitation-only organization with more than 500 women. The members of this organization have been representing the highest levels of achievement across all professional sectors and spheres of influence in our city. The members of this firm are known as New York’s thought leaders, influencers, trailblazers, policymakers, change agents, power brokers, innovators, icons, creators, and business builders.

Who May Be Eligible
Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Applicants must be 35 years old
- Candidates should attend college at a two or four-year institution within New York City;
- Aspirants must be residing in New York City;
- Participants must be pursuing their first associate or bachelor degree and have earned at least 12 credits in good standing;
- Recipients must have attended a college in New York City during the 2019-2020 academic year and be enrolled for at least 6 credits in the 2020-2021 academic year;
- Candidates must have at least 9 credits to complete graduation requirements after June 2021;
- If completing an associate degree in June 2021, must then provide evidence of admission to a Bachelor’s degree program.

Benefits
The scholarship is valued at $10,000. This ward will go directly to the recipients’ needs, whether tuition, childcare, medical bills, elder care, transportation, housing, or any other priority. This award will recognize the extraordinary and often heroic effort that applicants have made in overcoming adversity as they restructure their lives for success.
