Women in Stem Scholarships

The STEM is the academic subjects of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Though these are fields typically dominated by men, many colleges and organizations offer scholarships to encourage women for pursuing a career in STEM field.

To encourage young women to pursue STEM careers, we have compiled a list of the “Women in Stem Scholarships” that can help you cover all the expenses of college or graduate school before you start your career.

These scholarships are available for women who are studying as incoming freshman, graduate, undergraduate students. All these below-mentioned scholarships provide award range from $1,500 to $15,000 to help female students afford the high cost of college programs. Good Luck!!

WIA Foundation Scholarship

The Women in Aerospace (WIA) Foundation, Inc. is pleased to announce the WIA Foundation Scholarship. To be eligible, an applicant must be interested in pursuing a career in the aerospace field and be a rising junior or senior working towards a bachelor’s degree in engineering, math or science. The WIA Foundation will award a $2,000 scholarship per year to a woman who is a rising senior in college studying engineering, math or science, thus encouraging women to enter careers in the aerospace field.

Women Forward In Technology Scholarship Program

The program is open only to those legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are sixteen (16) years of age or older at the time of application and who are currently enrolled (or have been accepted to enroll) in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher learning (e.g. college or university) in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) field. The goal of the program is to provide a number of $3,000 scholarships each year.

The BHW Group is excited to announce their Women in STEM academic scholarship. The program is open to Women who are pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree and are majoring in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics during the 2017 school year. The program will provide up to $3000.

Society of Women Engineers Scholarship

The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is pleased to announce the SWE Scholarship Program. The program provides financial assistance to women studying baccalaureate or graduate programs, in preparation for careers in engineering, engineering technology, and computer science. In 2017, SWE awarded approximately 233 new and renewed scholarships valued at over $715,000.

VIP 11th annual Women in Technology Scholarship

Visionary Integration Professionals (VIP) announces offers multiple WITS scholarships. The program is open to women who are pursuing a career in computer science, information technology (IT), management information systems, or another related field. To eligible, the applicants must be enrolled at or accepted to, a two or four-year College or University in the United States for the 2018 school year. The VIP’s 2018 WITS program will grant multiple scholarship awards that value up to $2,500.00 per recipient.

WIIT Charitable Trust Scholarships

The WIIT Charitable Trust is now offering WIIT Charitable Trust Scholarship to support graduate and undergraduate women studying International Trade who show promise as Future Global Leaders. Applicants must be female and currently enrolled at an accredited U.S. university or college, either full-time or part-time. This merit-based scholarship is awarded (up to $1,500) twice per year and works to encourage women to pursue their interests in International Trade and Global Development. Details on the next competition will be released in December 2018.

Women Techmakers Scholarship

The Google Inc. is now accepting applications for their Adobe India Women in Technology Scholarship 2018. Identify as a female who is studying in computer science, computer engineering or a closely related technical field, are eligible to apply. The scholars will each receive $10,000 USD (for students in the US) or $5,000 CAD (for students in Canada) for the 2018-2019 academic year.

CWIT Scholars Program

The Center for Women In Technology (CWIT) at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) is a merit-based scholarship program for talented undergraduates majoring in computer science, information systems, business technology administration (with a technical focus), computer engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical/biochemical/environmental engineering, or a related program at UMBC. CWIT Scholars receive four-year scholarships ranging from $5,000 – $15,000 per academic year for in-state students, and from $10,000 – $22,000 per academic year for out-of-state students, to cover full tuition, mandatory fees, and other expenses.
