William Male Foundation is happy to make available a very exciting grant program for individual artists in San Diego County. To qualify for this opportunity, applicants must be receiving official art training from a college, university, or academy, as well as from a private instructor or coach. Formal training is unnecessary, and money may be used for travel, research, or other comparable activities to help the grantee improve a certain talent or generate a specified product.
A typical award amount ranges from $1,000 to $5,000. The most they can give out in a single grant round is $5,000. Other requirements of this program are that an aspirant should be at least 18 years of age and resident of San Diego County, California, and demonstrate potential for success in their chosen field by submitting letters from instructors and samples of their artistic growth demonstrated in works of art. The selection committee will take the following things into consideration while selecting the candidates: artistic potential, work ethic, financial need, and potential benefits to the artistic community in San Diego.
Applications are accepted throughout the year, and grants are awarded twice a year. Grant decisions will be made on April 1 and October 1 of each year. The last date of the application is April 1, 2022.
The William Male Foundation is holding the aim of making a significant contribution to the San Diego County arts community by providing grants and scholarships to individual artists.
