WCC Scholarship

Annually many outstanding students receive scholarships funded by the WCC Foundation. The Washtenaw Community College offers the WCC Foundation Scholarships for the students seeking assistance to attain higher education. The high school seniors or current Washtenaw Community College student and are US citizen or an eligible non-citizen with at least 2.0 GPA in classes relevant to the area of study are encouraged to apply for the scholarship.

The purpose of introducing the WCC Foundation Scholarship is to support and promote student’s education. The scholarship aims to grant financial benefits to deserving students having financial needs. The scholarship helps to remove financial barriers to the student’s success. The WCC encourages students to study hard, attain academic excellence, and achieve success.

Washtenaw Community College founded in1965, is a public community college in Ann Arbor Charter Township, Michigan. WCC enrols more than 20,000 students from over 100 countries to study each year and grants certificates and degrees to over 2,600 students annually. The Washtenaw Community College offers approximately 137 credit programs in business, health, advanced manufacturing and skilled trades, public service, humanities, social science, math, natural sciences, art, and technology.

Who May be Eligible

The eligibility criteria for the WCC Foundation Scholarships-

  • The applicant must be a high school senior or current WCC student.

  • The applicants must have at least a 2.0 GPA in classes relevant to your area of study.

How to Apply

The applicants interested in applying for the WCC Foundation Scholarship must apply online. The applicant must fill out the WCC Foundation Scholarship Application online and complete FAFSA Form. The applicant must submit the letter of recommendation of scholarships@wccnet.edu.

Supporting Documents

  • The applicant must submit a recent Transcript.
  • The applicant must submit the FAFSA Form.
  • The applicant must submit the personal statement of 250 words or less.

Benefits

The WCC Foundation Scholarship grants significant benefits. The WCC Scholarships amount is based on the number of credit hours you plan to take during the semester-

  • 12 hours or more: $1000
  • 9-11 hours: $750
  • 6-8 hours: $500
  • 1-5 hours: $250

Application Deadline

The interested applicants must make a timeline with the deadline for the WCC Foundation Scholarships to be considered. The fall semester’s application deadline is June 10 and for the Spring/Summer semester is February 10.
