Watertown Foundation Scholarships for Graduating Seniors

This is a tax-exempt community foundation created by and for the citizens of Watertown. The Foundation enables people with benevolent interests to hold up non-profit community institutions and dispense scholarships to Watertown qualified high school seniors abet them capitalistically to achieve a post-secondary education.

Every year, the Watertown Foundation awards appreciation to dissertation needs and opportunities that touch the lives of thousands of people in our community. Students get their expenses paid, making it possible for them to focus on their academics and not expenses. The process of the scholarship is easy and helps students to do better in their careers.

The Foundation will celebrate a century of charitable giving to Watertown and Oakville in a few years. This foundation is the only community foundation assigned solely to the Watertown and Oakville community. A group of inhabitants established the Watertown Foundation in 1925 to strengthen the aspect of life in the community through a local charity.

Who May Be Eligible

Look at the needs which make you eligible for these scholarships:

  • Candidates must be resident in Watertown for at least three years (regardless of the secondary school attended)
  • Applicants must be graduating high school seniors to be eligible.

Applications that are incomplete or submitted after the deadline will not be considered for the scholarship. The deadline must be followed strictly.

Supporting Documents 

  • Applicants must submit their academic merit based on scholastic record, SAT or ACT score reports and GPA scores.
  • A list of activities and contributions to your school and community must be presented on one separate page, including hours served and years that you participated.
  • Students must submit their financial needs based on FAFSA information.
  • The student must attach a typed essay with type an essay of approximately two pages, double-spaced and 11 pt. the font on one of the topics listed below:
  1. What have you learned about yourself through a mistake or failure?
  2. Why are you an excellent candidate to receive this award?
