WAA Visual Arts Scholarship for Graduating Seniors

The purpose of the Waterway Art Association (WAA) Visual Arts Scholarship is to assist deserving students seeking to pursue higher education and/or vocational studies beyond secondary education.

The Waterway Art Association encourages the students for their career by helping them with their needs. The Foundation wants to see the students shine brighter by focusing on their academics. This scholarship is to help students who are interested in accomplishing their dreams. The process has purposely been kept trouble-free so applicants can easily apply it.

The Waterway Art Association, Calabash, NC, is an organization that works for social development without seeking any profit. It was established in 1991 and worked for artists residing in southern Brunswick County, NC and northeastern Horry County, SC. The Association mission is to uplift artistic awareness and the amusement of fine arts and stimulate growth on individual and community levels. They fulfil the mission with art exhibits and shows, workshops, indoor and outdoor painting sessions, as well as trips to regional art venues.

Who May Be Eligible

Here are the needs you have to consider to be accepted for these awards:

  • Fellows must be Graduating high school senior from Brunswick County Schools, NC.
  •  Acceptance as an entering full-time student to a college or university, junior/community college or vocational school.
  • Candidates must have Fine Arts experience in school or the community of interest in majoring or minoring in an arts area from higher learning institutions.

How to Apply

To enrol on this scholarship, fellows must download the application form and fill it with every essential information. And the application form should be submitted before the deadline. Students should make sure the data they are providing is valid. Any inadequate submissions done will not be accepted by the association. Students are responsible for all the materials submitted.

Supporting Documents

  • Evaluation of Portfolio (5 – 8 pieces) is needed.
  •  Two Letters of Recommendation and College Acceptance proof is needed.
