The Greater Kansas City Community Foundation has announced a scholarship program named Virginia Whitsitt Memorial Scholarship Fund program that provides scholarships to graduating high school seniors in honor of Helen Virginia Whitsitt. The program includes students that want to seek a career in teaching and students that need financial help.
The applications that will get selected for awards based on their skills and financial need will get awarded $2,000. The amount will help students to seek higher education in teaching by providing required educational fees, which can be used for tuition assistance, books, accommodation, and other required materials. This will increase less the student’s financial concern. Meanwhile, they’ll get more focused on their goals.
The Greater Kansas City Community Foundation (GKCCF) was founded by a small group of community leaders in the year 1978. Their mission is to create a varying, wide-ranged, charitable foundation that would be proficient at carrying out the needs of metropolitan Kansas City.
