John L. Pitts Aquatic Veterinary Education Awards Program

The John L. Pitts Aquatic Veterinary Education Awards Program is pleased to offer financial support each year to a limited number of veterinary students or recent graduates of recognized veterinary schools. The program is allowing recipients to explore a career in aquatic veterinary medicine through a variety of aquatic veterinary educational activities. Awards (generally between $250 and $1,000) are intended to support aquatic veterinary activities and educational opportunities.

Pre-Veterinary and General Animal Husbandry Education Scholarship

Golden Meadows Kennel is offering an Annual College Scholarship!  They are dedicated to helping students interested in general animal husbandry and/or pre-veterinary studies. To be considered eligible, students must be currently attending an any accredited college. The winners will get $1,000 award.

AHVMF Scholarships

The American Holistic Veterinary Medical Foundation is pleased to offer scholarships. The programs are open to all student enrolled in a U.S., Canadian, or Caribbean College of veterinary medicine. The program will provide an award as the following – the Vet Classics Dr. Pedro Rivera grant – $1500, the AHVMF Student Research grant – $1500, Dr. Sharon Willoughby-Blake commemorative grant – $1000, and the Royal Treatment Nutrition grant – $1000.

Georgia Veterinary Scholars Program

The University of Georgia, College of Veterinary Medicine is pleased to announce the Georgia Veterinary Scholars Program. Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies International Scholarship

The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies is offering two scholarships for overseas students beginning their studies on the BVM&S full-time program in the 2018-2019 academic year. Each scholarship is worth £5,000 per year and is tenable for the duration of your degree programme, subject to satisfactory progress.

Charles Shelton Foundation Scholarship

The Charles Shelton Foundation provides one non-renewable $2,500 award offered annually. To apply, the applicant must be an African-American graduating senior, current college student or returning adult and must be a legal U.S. resident of one of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia.

ZOETIS/AAVMC Veterinary Student Scholarship

Zoetis and the Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC) are pleased to announce the 2018 Zoetis/AAVMC Veterinary Student Scholarship Program. Scholarships will be awarded to students with career interests in all areas, including food animal medicine, small animal clinical medicine, research, government services, public health, organized veterinary medicine, etc. There will be approximately 300 student scholarships available at $2,000 each in grant scholarships.

John D. Spurling OBE Scholarship

The AKC Humane Fund, Inc. is now offering the John D. Spurling OBE Scholarship. To be eligible, the applicant must be a full-time student enrolled in a degree or certification program at an accredited U.S. institution. Scholarship must be used for tuition and will be paid directly to the institution on the student’s behalf.

AVMF Scholarships

The American Veterinary Medical Foundation awards scholarships to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-year students attending accredited colleges of veterinary medicine in the United States. 3rd and 4th-year students may apply for the AVMF/Winn Feline Foundation Scholarship and 1st, 2nd and 3rd-year students at the international AVMA accredited schools may apply for the AVMA/AVMF Scholarship for Veterans. Students are encouraged to consider both traditional and non-traditional careers as they move forward in their education to understand the many options that the veterinary profession offers.
