VBA Bank Day Scholarship Programs

If you are planning to pursue finance or any other bank courses and looking for some financial assistance, then there can be no better chance than this! The Burke & Herbert Bank is excited to invite students to apply for its Bank Day Scholarship Program. This scholarship will reduce your financial burden on the students. To be eligible for this scholarship, students planning to study two or four-year courses can apply.

The goal of the scholarship is to offer financial help to the students in Virginia. The Burke & Herbert Bank and Virginia Bankers Association Education Foundation (VBA) understands that the cost of education can sometimes keep students away from completing their dreams. And for helping students to achieve their dreams overcoming all the difficulties, this scholarship has been initiated.

Burke & Herbert Bank is partnering with the Virginia Bankers Association Education Foundation (VBA) to start a unique scholarship program. The Association Education Foundation (VBA) have offered northern Virginia high school seniors a unique scholarship opportunity. The “Bank Day” Scholarship program is for the twelve hardworking students who can prove their excellence not only in academics but in extra activities. Burke & Herbert Bank and Virginia Bankers Association Education Foundation (VBA) guarantees that students will not just get the financial benefit but gain valuable knowledge about banking services that you’ll need too!

Who May Be Eligible

Eligibility criteria for the Scholarship Program are as follows:

  • Individuals should be an incoming freshman student applying for bank or finance courses.
  • Applicants must have a good academic standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher to be eligible.

How to Apply 

Interested applicants should fill the form and submit it online. Any applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered for the scholarship. Students must submit all the documents and materials without any negligence. Fellows are responsible for providing accurate data and for being considered for awards.

Supporting Documents 

  • Applicants should submit an essay with the application. Applicants must write a short article about banking, financial services, and the vital role that banks play in the community.
  • Candidates must submit their High school GPA scorecards with the application.
  • Applicants must fill the complete application form. Fellows must list the colleges/universities they are interested in applying to.

Each scholarship program has different benefits. Students can win one of the twelve scholarships awarded on Bank Day. These scholarships offer top awarding prices of $7,500. These scholarships encourage students to focus on their academics. Scholarships reduce the financial stress of the students and help them do better in their careers. Scholarship funds can be used to pay for their educational needs like tuition, fees, and other vital requirements.

The deadline for submission of the scholarship application is April 2, 2021. Students are requested not to send late applications.
