UWL Full-time Undergraduate Bursary Scheme

The University of West London is now calling for applications for the UWL Full-time Undergraduate Bursary Scheme. The university will provide up to a maximum of 550 bursaries for full-time undergraduate students who start their course in September 2018 or January 2019.

The bursary consists of a £1,500 award payable over three academic years, towards the cost of the study, including the cost of learning materials, catering outlets, Paragon Student Lets accommodation and transport costs.

Who May Eligible:

To eligible, the candidates must be following all the eligibility criteria:

  • Be from a household with an income of less than £25,000 per annum;
  • Be Home or EU fees paying students
  • Have applied for means-tested student support from Student Finance England and have given consent to share information in order that the declared household income can be verified (applicable to ‘Home’ fees paying student only). EU fee paying student will need to provide proof of their Household income
  • Have accepted an offer of a place on a full-time undergraduate course at the University of West London.
  • Be starting their undergraduate course in September 2018 or January 2019.

How to Apply & Competitions Rules:

To apply, the applicants must download the application form and submit it by email or by post:

  • Post: Scholarship Team William Brake Student Services Centre University of West London St Mary’s Road, Ealing London W5 5RF.

Rules:

  • Applicants should provide the following documents with their application form:
    • Confirmation of Offer from the University of West London (only if applying prior to enrolment).
    • Applicants in receipt of a maintenance loan from SFE who have not given consent to share information with the University will have to submit evidence of the total household income (i.e. both parents or independent students) – a P60 for the financial year ending April 2018, three months of payslips or proof of benefit entitlement
    • EU students not in receipt of a maintenance loan and unable to provide the evidence above must submit a certified translation and originals of documents evidencing their household income in their home country (i.e. the end of financial year tax return, a formal letter of employment with salary breakdown or social security support letter)

Benefits:

Application Deadline:

  • Students who start in September 2018 – applications close on September 30, 2018.
  • Students who start January 2019 – applications close on February 8, 2019.
