USDA-ARS Postdoctoral Fellowship in Systematics and Taxonomy of Fungal Plant Pathogens in Mycosphaerellaceae

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is offering a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Systematics and Taxonomy of Fungal Plant Pathogens in the Mycosphaerellaceae. The project aims to enhance the identification and detection of these fungal species in plants and plant products. The research is a collaboration between the Agriculture Research Service (ARS) and the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Services (APHIS) of the USDA.

This opportunity provides specialized training in morphological and molecular identification of fungal plant pathogens, offering a chance to contribute to scientific advancements in agriculture.

Who is Eligible?

The educational opportunity is available to U.S. citizens and Lawful Permanent Residents (LPR) only. The qualified candidate should hold a Ph.D. in a relevant field of study (e.g., Plant Pathology, Plant Sciences, Microbiology, Mycology), or be currently pursuing the degree with completion before the appointment start date. The degree must have been received within the past ten years.

Benefits
