US Foods Scholars Program

US Foods is eager to introduce its Scholars Program for the year 2020. The award is targeting students pursuing or planning to pursue a two-year associate degree in Culinary Arts or Baking, Pastry Arts, Food Business Management.

The grant will definitely act as a valuable helping hand for students who are in search of funds to complete their higher studies. The amount can be utilized by the recipients to cover the higher cost of education.

US Foods works as an American foodservice distributor. It was the 10th largest private company in America until its IPO. The nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship and tuition assistance Scholarship America will administrate the scholarship program.

Who May Eligible?

The candidates must review all the eligibility requirements to qualify the program :

  • Must be pursuing or planning to pursue a two-year, associate degree in the Culinary Arts or a related discipline, but not limited to, Culinary Science, Baking and Pastry Arts, Food Business Management, and Restaurant and Hospitality Management
  • Must be a legal U.S. resident or must be authorized to work in the fifty United States and the District of Columbia
  • Must be of 35 years old or younger at the time of the application deadline
  • Must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale or its equivalent
  • Must be high school seniors, graduates, or students who are currently enrolled in, or planning to enrol in, full-time study at one of the below partner schools:
  • International Culinary School at the Art Institute of Atlanta – Atlanta, GA
  • Austin Community College – Austin, TX
  • Johnson & Wales University – Denver, CO
  • Wake Technical College – Raleigh, NC
  • Oregon Culinary Institute – Portland, OR

How to Apply

US Foods is accepting online applications for its scholarship program. The forms can be filled through registering or logging by the eligible candidates to apply for the scholarship.

Rules

  • A current, complete transcript of grades.
  • Grade reports are not accepted.
  • Unofficial or online transcripts must show student name, name of the school, grades and credit hours for each course, and term in which each course was taken.
  • A copy of the first two pages of the most current filed IRS Form 1040 used for the Financial Information Page.
  • One online recommendation which is to be submitted on your behalf.

Benefits

The scholarship program will be granting students the below-mentioned awards:

  • Students planning to enrol in a culinary program for the first time or entering their first year of the program in 2020-2021 may receive a renewable award (4 disbursements of $5,000)
  • Students already enrolled in a culinary program or completing their second or final year of the program in 2020-2021 may receive a non-renewable award (2 disbursements of $10,000 each).

Application Deadline

The application for the scholarship program is open to apply until 13th April 2020.
