Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this fellowship, candidates must meet the following qualifications upon the start of the program:

  1. Nurse Practitioner:
    • Master’s degree in Nursing
    • Active New York State licensure as Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner
    • Current national certification as a Nurse Practitioner
  2. Physician Assistant/Associate:
    • Completion of an NCCPA approved Physician Assistant program
    • Active New York State Physician Assistant licensure
    • Current national certification as a Physician Assistant

Applicants should demonstrate clinical competence, excellent communication skills, a passion for surgical patients, and a strong desire to learn.
