The University of Miami selects exceptional and academically accomplished high school students to become Stamps Scholars and receive the Stamps Scholarship—the University’s most selective and prestigious academic scholarship award. Scholars receive the full cost of attendance for four years (eight semesters) of undergraduate study at UM, which includes the following: full tuition and fees, standard room and board, textbooks, a one-time allowance for the purchase of a computer, and access to a $12,000 enrichment fund.

Ronald A. Hammond Scholarship Program

The University of Miami selects a small group of exceptional and academically accomplished high school students to receive the Ronald A. Hammond Scholarship. The applicants must be the full-time student of this university. Prospective scholars must apply as freshman applicants to the University of Miami under either the early decision/early action deadline of November 1 or the regular decision deadline of January 1.  The University of Miami Hammond Scholars receives full tuition each year for four years of undergraduate study at UM.

George W. Jenkins Scholarship

The George W. Jenkins Scholarship, funded by Publix Super Markets Charities, is one of the premier scholarships available to students at the University of Miami. This four-year scholarship is awarded based on academic merit, financial need, and an essay that demonstrates a history of overcoming significant adversity. The scholarship is valued at more than $62,000 per year.

Music Scholarships

The Frost School of Music and the University of Miami are proud to offer a full range of financial assistance packages rewarding both musically and academically talented students. Music scholarships, available only to full-time music majors, are merit and/or talent-based and are given for ability as demonstrated through the audition and academic performance. The winner will get full tuition fees for the scholarship.

Transfer Academic Scholarship

The University of Miami offers a generous merit scholarship program. President’s Scholarships are awarded to select transfer students. Students applying for a second Bachelor degree are not eligible to receive a President’s Scholarship. $5,000-$16,000 annually award prize to the deserving candidates.

The Foote Fellows Honors Program recognizes the most educationally accomplished incoming students at the University of Miami. The U Dreamers Program is available to Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) students at the University of Miami. To be eligible candidates must have all nationalities and citizenship statuses with opportunities to nurture their talents and achieve their goals. The U Dreamers Program is intended to meet 100 percent of a student’s demonstrated financial need.
