Architecture is the study of plans, design, and construction of buildings or any other structures. Studying architecture becomes more interesting if the city is full of architectural marvels.
Hong Kong is one such city having the highest number of skyscrapers in the world which gives it a unique vertical landscape. The University of Hong Kong’s Faculty of Architecture (FoA) is one of the best places to study architecture. It is among the top 10 Architecture and Built Environment Schools in the world by the QS World University Rankings 2017.
FoA has a wide range of programs covering both undergraduate and post-graduate courses. Students are involved in the department’s research and design projects, and FoA preparing them to face the challenges that occur while using their skills outside the campus.
Moreover, Hong Kong is undergoing drastic changes and planning on adding 350 million more people to the urban areas in China over the decades. The plan will require a lot of architectural planning and construction building almost an entire country.
Students are taught the art of model making as well as learning various designing software. Also, under the International Student Exchange Program students can study at another top-ranked school for a few semesters.
