UNESCO Worldwide Youth Multimedia Competition 2022

UNESCO is very thrilled to reveal that it has a fantastic opening for its Worldwide Youth Multimedia Competition. This contest is now inviting candidates from across the world to compete for this program. This program carries a mission of mobilizing the optimism of the youth to fight against and respond to an acute world problem to serve others now. This is a famous and highly rewarding contest for which UNESCO received 600 projects from participants from over 65 countries last year. It is divided into three categories: Junior, Youth and Young Adult. Applicants will be selected for these categories based on their age. The program is currently open for entries for 2021. This is a tremendous opportunity for youth to build leadership skills, learn how the United Nations conducts itself, and meet youth worldwide and form long-lasting relationships.

To get selected for this opportunity, applicants need to create a 3-minute long video, multimedia presentation, 500-700 words written essay, artwork or any method in response to this year’s prompt. We are aware of the challenges we had to go through the last year due to the pandemic. During that time, we got to learn many things about ourselves and the people around us. Those challenges have made us more robust and given strength to stay strong in the face of adversity. Keeping this in mind, UNESCO has designed this year’s prompt that candidates need to answer in the way they like, for example, they can compose an essay answering this prompt or create a video or other way that channels a specific passion that answers the prompt. The top three winners will receive the certificate, invitation to UNESCO’s Builders of the Universe Camp and scholarship.
