Who is Eligible?
- Open to current high school seniors, college students, or graduate students.
- Legal residents of the United States residing in one of the 50 states or the District of Columbia.
- Enrolled in a vocational program or a two to five-year post-secondary institution for the 2024 spring semester.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher and in good overall academic standing.
How to Apply?
- To apply for the scholarship, candidates must submit the following documents via email to orlando@thelawman.net “The Umansky Law Firm Criminal Defense & Injury Attorneys – 2023 Second Chance Foundation Scholarship Application”:
- A 750-1000 word essay response to the prompt: Share a hardship you have overcome and what a second chance means to you.
- A resumé or LinkedIn profile detailing academic and professional experiences.
- A transcript from the current school. First-year college students, graduate students, or recent transfers may submit an unofficial transcript from the current school and the most recent official transcript from the prior school. High school students must also provide proof of acceptance to their college or university.
Benefits:
The selected recipient will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship to support their educational endeavors.
Application Deadline:
All applications must be submitted by December 31st, 2023. Applications received after this date will not be considered.
