University of Michigan

Founded in 1936, The University of Michigan School of Social Work is a professional school.  The University of Michigan School of Social Work offers interdisciplinary MSW and Ph.D. degrees, field instruction (internships), an undergraduate minor and life-long learning opportunities. Joint Ph.D. students earn a degree in Social Work and select a second Ph.D. in one of five social science fields. Founded in 1920, The School of Social Service Administration is the school of social work at the University of Chicago. SSA gives its graduates a broad grounding in the social sciences.
