Carter Roger Williams Scholarship

The Carter Roger Williams Initiative provides its annual Carter Roger Williams Scholarships to high school seniors, helping Rhode Island students who appreciate and embody Roger Williams’s values attain a college education. The scholarship provides sponsorships up to $20,000 per student per year.

The Roothbert Fund is now offering the Roothbert Fund scholarships that are open to all in the United States regardless of sex, age, color, nationality or religious background. The New England Water Works Association (NEWWA) is pleased to announce the NEWWA Scholarships. Undergraduate Nursing Education Scholarships and Graduate Nurse Scholarship

Nursing Foundation of Rhode Island is offering two scholarships. The undergraduate scholarships are open to students who enrolled in a nursing program, demonstrate financial need, and have maintained a 3.0 GPA. Graduate nurse scholarship is open to a registered nurse who is enrolled in a post-baccalaureate program in nursing and has maintained academic honors. Undergraduate Students awarded $1000 scholarships will receive $500 in July and $500 in December. The graduate scholarship winner will receive range from $500 to $1,000.

Carter Fellowship for Entrepreneurial Innovation

The Rhode Island Foundation is pleased to announce the Carter Fellowship for Entrepreneurial Innovation. The program is designed to stimulate solutions to Rhode Island challenges. Recipients must commit to staying in Rhode Island for the four-year duration of the Fellowship. Fellows will receive up to $200,000 over four years to test and implement innovative ideas that could dramatically improve an area of life in Rhode Island. Up to three Fellows are selected annually.

Clauder Competition

The Clauder Competition is a playwriting award hosted by Portland Stage and open to all New England playwrights. Playwrights must currently live or attend school in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, or Vermont. Clauder Grand Prize is $3,000 cash award, Gold Prizes is $1,500 cash awards each, plus a workshop production at Portland Stage. Additional prizes will also be awarded to the best players from each of the six New England states.

Rhode Island Junior Duck Stamp Program

At the United States Fish & Wildlife Service, Junior Duck Stamp Art Contest is open to students in grades K-12 who attend public, private, or home schools in the United States. The U.S. territories. Contestant must draw, paint, or sketch a picture of an eligible North American waterfowl species. Deadline is only for Missouri, Ohio, Rhode Island, Virginia, and Washington, DC.  Prizes will vary from state to state; however, all entrants will receive certificates of participation, and winners will receive special recognition.

New England Regional Student Program (RSP)

NEBHE’s Tuition Break program, the New England Regional Student Program (RSP), enables thousands of New England residents to enroll at out-of-state New England public colleges and universities at a discount. The RSP Tuition Break program not only saves students thousands of dollars in college tuition but also enables the six New England states (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont) to expand educational opportunities for their residents while avoiding duplication of costly academic programs. A full-time RSP student received an average tuition break of $8,033.

AAA Northeast Scholarships

The AAA Northeast Scholarships is available for High school senior that is offered by Rhode Island Foundation. The scholarship program provides financial assistance to children and legal dependents of employees of AAA Northeast who have been employed full-time for at least one year at the time of application. Up to ten new scholarships for $2,000 will be awarded annually that can be applied to tuition, fees, books, supplies, and equipment. The application opens in January of each year.
