Losing a parent or guardian can be one of the most harrowing experiences a person can go through. It’s emotionally straining and when it happens during childhood or as a young adult, it can really be devastating. It also can bring a series of financial difficulties, making it even worse. As a way to recognize how a young person can deal with that loss, by their character and perseverance, Life Happens is the sponsor for this scholarship, aimed at college students and college-bound high school seniors. To apply, the contestant has to submit a video or essay reflecting the impact the death of a parent had on their lives.
