Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine

Founded in 1969, The Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine is an American osteopathic medical school and academic division as a part of Michigan State University. It offers the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree, the college also offers the DO/ Ph.D. combined degree for students interested in training as physician-scientists. The college offers the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree and a dual D.O./PhD program. The College of Osteopathic Medicine conducts pre-clinical training at three different campuses in East Lansing, Macomb, and Detroit.

Founded in 2001, The Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine is a private, non-profit osteopathic medical school.  The first and second years of medical school at VCOM are primarily classroom-based and focus on the basic sciences. Founded in 1992, The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine is a private, non-profit graduate school of medicine, dentistry, and pharmacy.  LECOM confers degrees in osteopathic medicine (D.O.), pharmacy (PharmD), and dentistry (DMD), as well as master’s degrees in Health Services Administration, Biomedical Sciences, and Medical Education. The medical school offers three primary learning pathways: a traditional lecture-discussion Program, a problem-based learning program, and a directed study program, as well as two, three-year programs, all leading to the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. The Erie campus offers all three primary pathways, while the Bradenton and Greensburg campuses offer curriculum based solely on problem-based learning.
