The Doctorate in Educational Administration (Ed.D. in Educational Administration) is a graduate program for educators who have completed foundational work in school leadership. The Department offers a course of study leading to Ph.D.or Ed.D. degrees. Students seeking either of these degrees major in Education Studies. Courses are offered on the regular semester and summer session schedule of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The University of Nebraska grants the EdD degree only to students who have completed a minimum of 96 graduate semester hours after attaining their Bachelor’s degrees. At the Texas A&M University, the Doctor of Education (EdD) degree is a professional degree designed to prepare a candidate for a position of leadership in the full range of educational settings, including public and private schools and colleges, business, government, industry and the military establishment.
