Who is Eligible?
The eligibility criteria for the following scholarship is as follows:
- Be African American/Black
- Have a required minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
- Be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident.
- Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (“FAFSA”) form.
- Have a demonstrated, unmet financial need as verified by their college or university.
- Be enrolled as a full-time, associate, or bachelor’s degree-seeking student of any classification at any accredited, U.S.-based two-year or four-year non-profit college or university.
- Be in good academic and personal standing.
How to Apply?
In order to be considered for the scholarship, the interested individuals are expected to complete the application by providing all the required documents and writing a personal statement of 500 – 750 words answering the following prompt: “Tell us about your personal and professional goals. What are your plans, hopes, and aspirations for the change you would like to make in your world and/or in your chosen field? How will this scholarship help you to meet them?”
