Who May Be Eligible
Please check the eligibility criteria mentioned below to be considered for the scholarship:
- Fellows should be an Incoming or current first-year college student having 17-20 age to be eligible for this scholarship.
- Candidates should be a resident of Greenville County, South Carolina to be considered.
- Students must be planning to enrol in a two-year or four-year college on either a part-time or full-time basis.
- Emrys present Board members and members of their families are not eligible.
How to Apply
Eligible students can access the application on the website and should complete it with all the essential information. Do not forget to submit any supporting material to be considered for the scholarship. Applications which will be submitted after the deadline will not be accepted to award the scholarships. Incomplete applications will directly be rejected. One letter of recommendation from a teacher or educator familiar should be emailed to info@emrys.org.
Supporting Documents
- One letter of recommendation from a teacher or educator familiar, 250 – 300 words describing your past experiences with creative writing and explaining your desire to continue to develop as a creative writer must be submitted.
- Please share an example of your creative writing, such as a short story or an essay of no more than a thousand words, or 3-5 short poems to be eligible.
